One of the challenges of getting (back) into photography is finding time to actually take photos. Planning and taking action is probably more important than actually getting really great photos all the time. You won’t get better if you don’t try to put effort into composing strong images and challenging yourself. Below are a couple of ideas on how to make, or find, time for photography in your life.
Always bring a camera with you
Set a time to shoot
Wake up earlier
Get to work earlier and take photos in the area
Take advantage of free time
Take photos at night
Take photos on vacation
Weekend adventures
Set a goal on a monthly or weekly basis for number of shot and edited images
Use unexpected free time
Take photos instead of watching TV
Take advantage of a rainy day
Set a timer
Combine with other activities like making dinner
Take photos instead of wasting time on social media
There is time available for you to take photos and work on your skills and techniques. Just remember to actually take photos every day. Any other opportunities you can think of?
