I didn’t really realize how many specific and fairly nuanced digital camera categories there are today until I started looking for APS-C Mirrorless cameras. My first two DSLRs were APS-C and I’ve had it in my mind that that was the first step in the more “pro” direction, aside from stepping up to full frame which is still quite expensive with equally as expensive lenses. It’s pretty clear that this is necessarily the case any more and I think that’s really exciting.
If APS-C is a direction worth going, or starting off in for mirrorless there are a few options, fortunately that’s really just 3 at this point. Have a look below.

When I last looked into buying a full frame camera over 6 years ago, mirrorless was basically not an option and certainly not an option to me at the time. I had avoided looking too much into new cameras until fairly recently and here are a selection of the most current full frame mirrorless digital cameras available on the market.
